Music Ministry

"May they sing the ways of the Lord, for the glory of the Lord is great!"  Psalm 138:5
Whitfield UMC loves music.  Congregational singing is accompanied by Telsie Davis, our gifted organist who plays an Allen instrument.  The music program has a wide variety of music from classical to contemporary.  Those who sing in the choir use their God-given talents and also grow spiritually while fellowshipping with Christian brothers and sisters. Angie Mitchell is our Music Director.

Chancel Choir Rehearses from 7:00 – 8:00 pm on Wednesday evenings and sings at the 10:30 am worship service each Sunday.

Jack Pippin Ringers -  This handbell choir practices on Sunday afternoons at 4:00 pm in the choir room.  They help to embellish the hymns and choir anthems during the church year.

Ukulele Choir - Brand new to our church, our Ukulele Choir has already played in worship and in a holiday concert in town. We are all beginners, so pick up a ukulele and dive right in with us. We meet in the Sheppard Center at 5:00 p.m. on Sundays. Join us! UKE can do it!!

We invite and encourage all those who enjoy music to join one of these groups.  Instruction, patience and love are always provided.
